Juveniles trash home on New Year's Day, causing more than $1,200 in damage, police say

Two juveniles from Doylestown Borough were cited for theft and criminal mischief offenses for causing more than $1,200 in damages to a home on New Year's Day. 

In a January 2025 Arrests and Crime report released Feb. 13, Central Bucks Regional Police said the juveniles were asked to leave the residence on Belmont Avenue in the borough, at which time they began destroying the home. 

The duo allegedly caused $600 in damage to a basement hallway ceiling, broke a $350 ceramic pot, and stole a $250 wine glass and a $100 glass pitcher

Police said juvenile written allegations have been filed with the court system.

Central Bucks Regional Police Department patrols and enforces laws in Doylestown, Chalfont and New Britain boroughs. 

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.


01/01/25 – THEFT AND CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – Belmont Avenue, Doylestown Borough - Two juveniles from Doylestown were charged with the above offenses from an incident taking place on 10/05/25. The individuals were asked to leave the residence at which time they caused damage to the ceiling in a basement hallway ($600), broke a ceramic pot ($350), and took a wine glass ($250) and glass pitcher ($100) from the property. Juvenile Written Allegations have been filed.
