An Allentown driver was injured in a two-vehicle crash in West Rockhill Township, Bucks County, earlier this month, according to Pennsylvania State Police at Dublin.
Police said the crash occurred on Feb. 6 at 5:29 a.m. on Route 309 South, near mile marker 22.5, after the 35-year-old Allentown man was unable to stay in his lane in his 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee and hit a 2018 International Truck, which was also headed south.
After hitting the truck, the Jeep spun and crashed into the barrier on the right side of the roadway, police said. The Jeep sustained heavy damage to its front end, and the International sustained damage to its rear driver’s side tire, police said.
Police shut down the right lane of Route 309 South following the collision, which occurred during freezing rain with dark conditions an icy, slushy roadway, police said.
The driver of the International truck, a 32-year-old man from Allentown, was uninjured, police said.
The driver of the Jeep was taken to Grand View Hospital by Grand View ambulance for treatment of suspected minor injuries, police said.
The Jeep was towed from the scene and the truck was repaired on scene and driven away, police said.
PennDOT responded to the scene and salted the roadway.
State police were assisted by Sellersville Fire Department, Telford Fire Police, and Bucks County Auto, police said.
