A driver followed an alleged reckless driver, and when authorities arrived on scene, he told them he impersonated a police officer during an altercation with the other commuter.
Pennridge Regional Police reported Monday that officers responded to the intersection of West Rock Road and Route 313 in East Rockhill Township on Feb. 18 for a report of a reckless driver.
Upon arrival, police made contact with a resident who reported a vehicle being driven in a reckless manner, police said.
The resident followed the alleged reckless driver and obtained a license plate. After obtaining the plate number, the resident and the driver had an altercation, in which the resident allegedly identified himself as a police officer.
“Police are investigating the incident following allegations that the resident was impersonating a police officer,” police said in a news release.
