A repeated DUI offender has been charged with three felony DUIs for allegedly driving an electric scooter with a BAC of .092% which was involved in a 2-vehicle crash in November at a Hilltown shopping center.

Adam William Davis, 36, of the 200 block of Washington Place, Telford, was charged by Hilltown Police on Tuesday with felony DUI of a combination of marijuana and alcohol, his fourth or more offense; felony DUI-impaired ability of a third offense of marijuana and buprenorphine, a prescription opioid use disorder treatment; and felony DUI-general impairment for his fourth or more offense, for an alleged BAC of 0.092%, according to charging documents.

The charges stem from a Nov. 14, 2024 accident at 4:49 p.m. at County Line Road at the County Line Plaza throughway in Hilltown, Bucks County, in which Davis was allegedly driving a black and orange Kukirin G2 Max electric scooter, police said.

Upon arrival to the accident scene, which came in as a struck pedestrian call, police discovered the crash involved a scooter and a vehicle. Police said Davis was being medically treated at the scene.

Davis had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, and police followed Davis via ambulance to Grand View Hospital where he was admitted for treatment, police said.

Police asked Davis how much alcohol he consumed prior to driving, and he admitted to having “a couple shots.”

Davis refused a chemical test of his blood, according to a complaint. However, through a series of search warrants, police received blood results of Davis, which yielded a BAC of 0.09%, police said, and positive results for marijuana and buprenorphine.

Davis has three prior convictions for DUI, according to authorities.

Davis is also charged with summary offenses of disregarding traffic lane, driving with suspended license, driving vehicles without required financial responsibility, and driving an unregistered vehicle.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
