Pennsylvania State Police at Dublin said three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on John Fries Highway on Feb. 12.

Police said the crashed occurred about a quarter-mile from Klines Mill Road, Bucks County at 6:30 a.m., and involved a 2022 Subaru Legacy, a 2020 Ford Escape and a 2025 Mazda CX90.

The driver of the Subaru – a 30-year-old man from Pennsburg – was southbound on John Fries Highway/Route 663, and the other two drivers were traveling northbound, police said.

The Subaru entered the northbound lanes and hit the Ford head-on, police said. The Ford then bounced off the Subaru, and went off the southern shoulder of the highway, police said.

The driver of the Mazda – a 41-year-old woman from Pennsburg – attempted to avoid the crash by driving between the cars, but ultimately hit the Ford, police said.

The Subaru and Ford sustained heavy damage to their front ends, and the Mazda sustained minor front-end damage, police said.

All occupants were wearing seatbelts, police said. The driver of the Subaru was taken by St. Luke’s Emergency and Transport Services to Grand View Hospital for treatment of injuries of unknown severity, police said.

Police also cited the Subaru driver with failure to drive on a roadway laned for traffic.

The driver of the Ford – a 53-year-old woman from Pennsburg – was taken for treatment of injuries by St. Luke’s Emergency and Transport Services to St. Luke’s Bethlehem, police said.

The driver of the Mazda was uninjured, police said.

Both lanes of John Fries Highway were closed for about an hour.
