Warminster Township is pleased to announce that beginning April 2 they will offer a Citizens Academy for residents who want to learn more about the workings of municipal government. Citizens’ Academy is a free, five-week program that will take place every Wednesday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Township administration building, located at 401 Gibson Avenue, Warminster.

Citizens Academy is an interactive education program that will help residents become more acquainted with the Township’s operations, policies and procedures. Each session will feature a presentation on a specific topic and will allow for a discussion with a township employee/official. The program has been developed to provide residents with a glimpse of the inner workings of municipal government, to foster civic leadership and to give Township residents an opportunity to become more informed about how the Township operates.

The dates and topics for each session are:

  • April 2 Program Overview, Administration, & Finance
  • April 9 Licensing & Inspection
  • April 16 Police Department & Emergency Management Services
  • April 23 Parks & Recreation and Public Works
  • April 30 Warminster Public Library

To request an application for Citizens’ Academy, contact Brandon Yett, Projects Coordinator at [email protected]. Space is limited and the deadline to apply is March 21 at 12:00 p.m.
