Serial shoplifter allegedly stole nearly $400 in tools from Home Depot

The defendant has an extensive history of shoplifting convictions, police said.

A Warminster man is accused of stealing two tools from Home Depot and pushing them right out of the store on a big orange cart without paying.

Brian Antonuccio, 35, has been charged with felony counts of retail theft and receiving stolen property in the Jan. 28 incident, police said.

Antonuccio has an extensive history of shoplifting convictions, according to authorities.

On Jan. 28 at 1:14 p.m., a Warminster officer was on patrol in the parking lot of the Warrington Plaza Shopping Center on 650 Easton Road, when he saw a man, identified as Antonuccio, walking away from the Home Depot parking lot south toward Street Road, police allege.

Antonuccio was allegedly carrying a large black trash bag, which appeared to have boxes inside of it, as well as a black bookbag that had another smaller bag attached to it.

Police observed Antonuccio approach a vehicle parked nearby and pull out a Ryobi box from the trash bag and show it to the person, police said. After a brief discussion, they went their separate ways, per the complaint.

Antonuccio continued to walk in the direction of a SEPTA bus stop, where he was stopped by police, per authorities.

Police allege the trash bag had $397 worth of stolen merchandise inside.

Loss prevention told police that Antonuccio allegedly walked into he store at 1 p.m. with an empty orange flatbed cart, and four minutes later, exited the store with the cart containing two items.

Police retrieved the stolen property and returned it to Home Depot, per the complaint.
