On January 31, New Britain Township Police officers were freezin’ for a reason.
They took the polar plunge on the field at Citizens Bank Park to help raise money for Special Olympics Pennsylvania.
About 100 police officers from 14 agencies all over Pennsylvania joined in on raising more than $13,000., all of which will go towards making a direct impact in the lives of the athletes of the Special Olympics.
New Britain Township Police thanked Special Olympics PA Vice President Eric Cushing and Corporal Bryan Coyle of the Philadelphia Police Department for allowing its agency to participate, and everyone who donated to their department to benefit the event.
