Warrington Police issued its fourth-quarter summary report for its Automated Red-Light Enforcement program, that went live in March 2024, which shows more than 2,900 warning notices were issued in the first three months of 2024 and more than 9,700 notice of violations from March through December.
Here is the rundown of the report:
78% Violation Approval Rate
Warrington officers approved 78% of potential violations sent for review from go live on March 22, 2024, through December 2024.
2,911 Warning Notices
2,911 Warning notices issued from January 22, 2024 through March 21, 2024.
9,797 Notices of Violation
9,797 NOVs issued from March 22, 2024 through December 2024
70% Average Payment Rate
The Warrington Red Light Enforcement program realized an average initial payment rate of 70% for Notices issued through December 2024.
15% Issued Citations
15% of violations issued through December were sent to registered Warrington addresses. 13% issued to Doylestown, 9% issued to Warminster, 6% issued to Chalfont, and 2% to Jamison.
The intersections under the program are Easton and Bristol roads, and Easton and Street roads.
According to a chart showing “Violations by Approach,” the month with the highest violations was April 2024, at 1,905. By June, violations dropped to 1,234, and reached its lowest level of 651 in September.
With the exception of March and April, Easton Road and Street Road had the most number of violations each month, specifically the Easton Road approach to southbound Street Road.
As far as violations by ZIP code, it is neither Warrington nor Doylestown nor Warminster. At 55%, the violations went to commuters outside of those ZIP codes.
