The deceased body found outdoors Monday afternoon near RIdgeview Court in the Heritage Greene townhome community off Diamond Street in Hilltown Township, Bucks County was the result of a suicide, police said Monday night.
Hilltown Police said the suicide was committed in a public area near Ridgeview Court and police were helping to divert traffic around the scene.
A name, age, gender, and hometown of the victim was not released.
Around 2 p.m. Monday, police announced via Facebook that it was conducting an active investigation in the residential neighborhood and there was no threat to the public.
Chal-Brit EMS was dispatched at 1:28 p.m. for response to an "unknown type" of incident to 807 Ridgeview Ct., per Bucks County EMS dispatch. An official from the Bucks County Coroner's Office arrived at 2:30 p.m. Investigators focused their attention on a white sheet covering a body near the dog park.
Police had Glenwood Drive cordoned off at Diamond Street during the investigation.
