Deceased body found outside townhome community in Hilltown Monday afternoon leads to coroner, police response

The Hilltown Township Police Department and Bucks County Coroner's Office conducted an active investigation Monday afternoon involving the discovery of a deceased individual outside near the dog park by Ridgeview Court in the Heritage Greene townhome community Monday afternoon.

At 2 p.m., Hilltown Police announced via Facebook that it was conducting an active investigation on Ridgeview Court in the development, located between Diamond Street and Hillcrest Drive, in Bucks County, with no one allowed to enter or exit the development off Glenwood Drive.      

Police posted on its Facebook that there is no danger to the public and asked motorists to avoid the area for the next few hours.

Police closed Ridgeview Court at Glenwood Drive. The development remains accessible off Hillcrest Drive.

An official from the Bucks County Coroner's Office arrived at 2:30 p.m. Investigators have focused their attention on a white sheet covering a body near the dog park.

Chal-Brit EMS was dispatched at 1:28 p.m. for response to an "unknown type" of incident to 807 Ridgeview Ct., per Bucks County EMS dispatch.

Sellersville Fire Department was on scene by 3 p.m. to spray down remnants of blood on the grass. 

The deceased individual was removed, put in a gurney and placed in the coroner's van. 

The gender and identity of the individual is unknown as of 3 p.m. Monday.
