The Central Bucks School District will begin accepting applications for its next superintendent on Monday, with the posting remaining open through Sunday, Jan. 18, 2026, according to a message sent to district families and staff.
The Board of School Directors has approved the Bucks County Intermediate Unit to facilitate the search, which will be advertised at the regional, state, and national levels. The intermediate unit will assist with recruitment logistics, interview protocols, and process facilitation, while the board will retain full authority over candidate selection and advancement.
District officials emphasized that community input will be a key component of the process. Employee input sessions are planned for early January, followed by a districtwide community survey running from Jan. 5 through Jan. 16.
Results of the survey will be shared publicly after it closes. In addition, three in-person community forums are scheduled for mid-January at Central Bucks East High School on Jan. 12, Central Bucks South High School on Jan. 13, and Central Bucks West High School on Jan. 14. Each forum will begin at 6 p.m. in the school cafeteria.
The board’s current timeline calls for superintendent interviews to begin in early February, with a finalist identified by spring 2026.
Before a formal appointment is made, the district plans to host a community forum with the finalist. District leaders said the superintendent search is among the board’s most significant responsibilities and stressed a commitment to an open, transparent, and collaborative process as it works to identify the district’s next leader.
