Warminster Township Board of Supervisors recently welcomed two new officers to its police department.
Sean Metz and Taj Weems have joined the Warminster Township Police Department and were sworn in by the Magisterial District Judge Christopher E. O'Neill, at the Dec.4 supervisors meeting, according to a news release.
Metz is a lifelong resident of Warminster Township and a graduate of William Tennent High School. He attended York College, where he was a member of the soccer team and graduated with honors, earning a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Metz is eager to begin his career at the Warminster Township Police Department and is committed to protecting the community he calls home, according to the release.
Weems is a resident of Philadelphia and a graduate of La Salle College High School. He attended Hood College in Frederick, Maryland, where he was a National Army ROTC Scholarship recipient and member of the Hood College soccer team. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology, according to the release.
Weems is a Second Lieutenant in the Army Signal Corps Reserves and is excited to put his training into action at the Warminster Township Police Department and make a positive impact on the community, the release said.

Donnelly III, in a news release. “Their commitment to public safety, integrity, and community service stood out during the hiring process, and I am confident they will uphold the values and dedication our residents expect.
