The Warminster Food Bank is pleased to announce that they recently received generous donations from the following local organizations:
Many families are struggling, even after the federal government restored Supplement Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. Not to mention, they are now dealing with the added expenses that come during the holiday season. These donations will provide funds to bridge the gap for individuals at a time when it is most needed.
“I believe that no one should go hungry, especially during times of hardship,” said Deborah Cowhey, owner/operator, Cowhey Family ShopRite of Warminster. “Supporting our local food bank with this donation is my way of helping families in our community access the nourishment they need. It’s important that people can live with dignity and never have to make impossible choices, like whether to feed their families, pay bills, or go hungry. Together, we can make a real difference.”
“We are committed to giving back to the residents of Northampton Township and local area,” said Northampton Day volunteer Christine Bishop. “Northampton Day is more than just a fun day for the community, it raises funds for scholarships and for nonprofits, like the Warminster Food Bank”
“Each year, our members vote on the charity of their choice to receive a portion of the proceeds from our annual car show,” said Kathy Beresford of the Tri-State Corvette Association. “Warminster Food Bank was nominated and accepted by our membership.”
“Our members share a common goal of enjoying each other's camaraderie and understanding that we can make a profound difference in our community,” added Chuck Greenberg, president, Tri-State Corvette Association. “All of us at the Tri-State Corvette Association couldn't think of a more deserving organization, such as the Warminster Food Bank."
“We are most grateful for the generosity of the Cowhey family, the Northampton Day Committee and the Tri-State Corvette Association,” said Mike Cerino, executive director, Warminster Food Bank. “In light of the recent federal government shutdown and the upcoming holidays, these donations came at just the right time. For many of our guests, after paying the bills and other expenses, any money left over for groceries will be very limited. Their donations will ease the burden for those in our community and help them enjoy the blessings of the holiday season.”
