Trinity Lutheran Church in Perkasie will be hosting a Wreaths Across America ceremony and wreath laying event on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Perkasie Cemetery at 940 W. Market Street.
The event marks the fourth year of Trinity’s participation in the national program, whose mission is to remember the fallen, honor those who served and teach the next generation the value of freedom. All are welcome to attend the ceremony and participate in the wreath laying, said a Wreaths Across America press release.
The wreath laying ceremony is carried out in part by coordinating ceremonies at Arlington and other veterans’ cemeteries in over 5,200 locations across all 50 U.S. states and territories as well as at 26 American cemeteries overseas, ensuring that veterans are honored and remembered wherever they rest, said the release.
