Firefighters from six area fire companies worked together to battle an early morning dwelling fire that broke out shortly after midnight on Turk Road in Doylestown Township on Sunday.
According to Doylestown Township Fire Co., the 12:38 a.m. call on Sunday was reported on the 2200 block of Turk Road, with a fully-involved fire on the first and second stories of a residential home. The blaze was hot enough to warp and melt part of a metal fence along the backyard perimeter.
No injuries were reported in the 3-hour fire. The fire is under investigation by the township fire marshal.
Doylestown Fire was assisted by mutual aid companies in extinguishing the blaze: Warrington Fire Co. #1, Warwick Township Fire Company No. 1, Lingohocken Fire Company, Point Pleasant Vol. Fire Co., Chalfont Fire Company, and Hartsville Fire Company.
