Bucks County residents can now track the construction of the new Lower Bucks Government Services Center in real time via a new 24/7 webcam stream.

The live video feed, which is available at BucksCounty.gov/LBGSC, gives taxpayers the chance to follow the development of the 39,000-square-foot, two-story facility from the initial groundwork to completion in Bristol Township.

“Here is an opportunity to watch in real time as your tax dollars are put to work and invested right back here in your community,” said Commissioner Chairperson Bob Harvie.

The new government services center, located on county-owned land near the busy Five Points intersection, is expected to cost roughly $25 million when completed.

Land clearing for the facility began earlier this year.

The project will replace the existing 8,600-square-foot annex, which officials determined was too small three decades after it opened.

Discussions for a replacement building had spanned nearly a decade.

The commissioners, which currently includes two Democrats and one Republican, held a ceremonial groundbreaking for the center in 2023.

Once completed, the new facility is set to consolidate 13 county departments that are currently spread across various locations, some in leased offices, in a move to streamline operations.

When completed, departments moving into the new center will include Adult Probation and Parole, the Board of Elections, the Children and Youth Social Services Agency, Consumer Protection/Weights and Measures, the District Attorney’s Office, Domestic Relations, the Health Department, Juvenile Probation, the Prothonotary, the Register of Wills, the Sheriff’s Office, Veterans’ Affairs, and Workforce and Economic Development.

The site was previously used for ammunition and rocket engine production by Morton Thiokol before the county acquired the land decades ago.

The plan for the new center includes the demolition of the old annex, which is near the Levittown Library. The county also plans to sell a former bank building on New Falls Road that currently operates as a field office for the Bucks County Adult Probation and Parole Department.

The county is also planning to construct a small solar farm adjacent to the new government services center.
