The Philadelphia Eagles announced Thursday morning that they will wear their iconic Kelly Green throwback uniforms three times this season, and that all three games will be against divisional opponents.

This is the third season of the Kelly Greens being back in the Eagles' uniform rotation. Originally worn as the Eagles' primary uniform color from 1935 until 1995, Kelly Green re-debuted as an alternate by popular demand in 2023.

Since then, the Birds have had quite a few classic moments in their throwback threads. There was 2023's overtime win over the Buffalo Bills in the rain:

And then, of course, who could forget Saquon Barkley's reverse hurdle that would eventually win the 2025 ESPY for Best Play of the Year:

In 2023 and 2024, the Eagles wore the Kelly Greens twice a year, against the Miami Dolphins and the Bills in 2023 and against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Dallas Cowboys in 2024. Over those four games, the Birds went 4-0.

This season, they will wear the Kelly Greens three times, including in an away game for the first time:

All three games will be against the NFC East, and the most notable game is Week 12 at Dallas. This is the first time the Eagles have taken the Kelly Greens on the road since their return. The Nov. 23 game is just four days before Thanksgiving, and FOX already has it penciled into the America's Game of the Week 4:25 p.m. time slot.

Kelly Greens, against the Dallas Cowboys, in the middle of the NFL season, in primetime — it doesn't get much better than that.

Perhaps the Eagles hope the Kelly Greens will help them continue to reverse the curse of AT&T Stadium. Over the last 10 years, the Birds are 3-7 against the Cowboys in Arlington. Those three wins came in 2015 (shoutout to the Sam Bradford-Jordan Matthews OT touchdown), 2017 and 2024.

Between 2017 and 2024, the Eagles lost six straight away games at Dallas. Old habits are difficult to break, so hopefully bringing the aura and swagger of the Kelly Greens to AT&T Stadium will fully put that losing streak in the past.

The other two Kelly Green games, against the New York Giants on Oct. 26 and the Washington Commanders on the weekend of Jan. 3-4, will have major divisional implications as well. The Eagles' Kelly Green schedule has gone from two AFC opponents in 2023, to one AFC and one NFC East in 2024, to now three NFC East opponents in 2025.

Clearly, the Eagles believe the Kelly Greens are ready for the big stage and the bright lights.
