Recreating Zeppelin’s sound

Formed in Philadelphia, Get The Led Out is a six-piece group of veteran musicians who aim to replicate the full depth of Led Zeppelin’s studio recordings in a live setting. Unlike a standard cover band, GTLO employs multiple guitarists and multi-instrumentalists to capture the layered sound of the albums.

The band’s setlists lean on Zeppelin’s early years but often include deeper cuts and an acoustic segment featuring songs like “Tangerine” and “Hey Hey What Can I Do.”

“Led Zeppelin are sort of the classical composers of the rock era,” lead vocalist Paul Sinclair said. “I believe 100 years from now they will be looked at as the Bach or Beethoven of our time. Their music is timeless.”

With a touring history that spans major clubs and performing arts centers nationwide, GTLO has built a reputation for bringing “light and shade” — the balance of power and nuance that defined Zeppelin — to its concerts.

Friday’s show is expected to be one of the highlights of this year’s Sounds of Summer Series, presented by Sands Auto Group.
