SEPTA is implementing its first phase of service cuts and fare increases after failing to secure new state funding in time.
The cuts are impacting bus and Regional Rail lines in Bucks County.
The first phase includes a 20 percent service reduction and a 21.5 percent fare increase.
Bus and Metro service cuts went into effect on Sunday, Aug. 24, and Monday, Aug. 25, followed by the fare increase on Monday, Sept. 1 and Regional Rail service cuts on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
The changes have led to the elimination of 32 bus routes and a reduction in trips across all rail services, including special services like the Sports Express.
Commuters can expect longer travel times and more crowded conditions, according to SEPTA officials.
