Breaking: pedestrian dead after being struck by vehicle multiple times in Dublin Borough, according to official

Emergency crews responded to a fatal accident in Dublin Borough after a driver reportedly hit a pedestrian multiple times with their car, according to reports. 

The incident occurred on Maple Avenue near the intersection of N. Main Street and Elephant Road around 5:05 p.m. Saturday.

According to reports, a driver allegedly hit a pedestrian with their car, turned around, and then ran over that person another time, causing a significant head injury. 

The victim was reportedly unconscious when emergency crews arrived on scene. Emergency personnel attempted to perform CPR on the victim at the scene, according to reports.

The identities of the victim and driver are unknown at this time. 

Emergency crews from Dublin Fire Company, Dublin Borough Police Department, Hilltown Police Department, and Bedminster Police Department responded to the scene.

Officials are on scene and have created a blockade in the area, so expect delays.
