Two weekend crashes in Bucks County under investigation

Hilltown building struck; Doylestown-area driver injured after hitting tree

Authorities in Bucks County are investigating two unrelated traffic accidents that occurred over the weekend, including one that left a driver seriously injured.

The first incident took place in Hilltown Township around 10 p.m. Saturday, where a blue sedan struck a building on the 700 block of Blooming Glen Road at South Perkasie Road. 

The crash caused minor structural damage to a single-family home, and no injuries were reported, according to initial emergency dispatch information.

The second crash happened shortly before 3 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Swamp Road and Creek Drive in Doylestown Borough, on the border with Buckingham Township. 

Police said a dark-colored Toyota left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver was found unconscious and bleeding heavily, according to reports from the scene. 

Emergency responders from Central Bucks Regional Police, Doylestown Township Police, Buckingham Township Police, Doylestown Fire Company, and Central Bucks EMS arrived on scene of the Doylestown crash.

Fire crews freed the driver from the vehicle before the individual was transported to a nearby hospital.

No updates on the driver’s condition were immediately available. The causes of both crashes remain under investigation.
