The Bucks County Sheriff's Office has issued a warrant for the arrest of a Quakertown man for failing to appear at arraignment in Bucks County Court this week.

Jonathan Crouthamel, 26, of the 1000 block of North West End Boulevard, is accused of stealing $1,524 in cash and a $626 company laptop from Dunkin Donuts at 103 Baringer Avenue in Silverdale Borough, in September 2024, where he was the manager, Hilltown Township Police said.

Felony counts of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property were held at a preliminary hearing in March.

According to an affidavit, the owner of the Dunkin Donuts informed police on Oct. 8, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. that he hired Crouthamel as manager, and on Sept. 27, he stole the cash and the laptop, totaling a loss of $2,150.

The theft, police said, was captured on security video and turned over on a USB to authorities. Police sad the footage shows Crouthamel walk into the office with a brown money box containing the cash and place it on a counter.

Then, after four minutes, he placed the money box in a  plastic Dunkin Donuts bag and also did the same with the laptop before leaving the store, police said.

The owner called Crouthamel on Sept. 28, when he failed to show up for his shift. He told the owner his mother had died and he promised to return to the store in a few days with the missing money and the laptop, according to the complaint.

He never repaid the money or returned the laptop, police said.

Crouthamel is free on $20,000 unsecured bail.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
