Plumstead Township Police is falling in line with other area police departments in promoting and participating in Medication Take Back Day on April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Residents are asked to simply walk or drive up and drop off any unused, unneeded or expired medications for safe disposal.
Plumstead Township's collection site will be at CVS Pharmacy in Cross Keys Place shopping center at 4361 Swamp Road.
In addition to prescription medications, law enforcement officers will be collecting over the counter and pet medications, vitamins, vaping products and more.
Select sites throughout the county will be collecting medications and sharps and distributing Narcan as well.
Those with medicines to get rid of need not wait until April 26. Medications can be disposed at Plumstead Township Police Department in the collection box located in the lobby, accessible 24 hours a day.
Accepted medications include prescription and over-the-counter medications and vitamins, liquid medications, creams, ointments, inhalers and nasal sprays, pet medications, vaping devices, cartridges, pods and e-liquids. Sharps will be accepted at limited sites
