Perkasie Borough Police are attempting to identify a man who attempted to take a puppy from a young girl on April 9 around noon on the 500 block of North 7th Street.

Police said a resident provided a photo to police of the suspicious individual and his vehicle, and the photo is the best copy that investigators have received.

Police said the girl was walking her puppy when a man, described as an older male with gray hair, wearing a brown jacket and brown boots, attempted to take the pet.

The suspect was driving a newer black SUV, possibly a Jeep Cherokee, police said.

An older female passenger may have been in the SUV at the time of the incident.

Contact the Perkasie Borough Police Department at 215-257-6876 with any information on the individual.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty.
