Residents in the Patriots Ridge neighborhood in Plumstead Township and the Carriage Hill development in Doylestown Township had a heifer of a surprise on their Ring cameras Wednesday morning.

According to Facebook reports, 25 yearling dairy cows -- of both the black and white and brown and white varieties -- from Curly Hill Farm on Worthington Road in Plumstead were reported loose in the area of Joseph E. Hanusey III Community Park on the 4700 block of Gordon Road in Plumstead around 8 a.m.

Owner Annette Canalichio Worthington reported that the cows are home safe and were waiting on a head count as of 11 a.m. Wednesday.

However, Worthington said it is possible there may be one more left wandering.

Anyone spotting the roving bovines was asked to call 267-261-5499 or dial 911 for Plumstead Township Police.
