Tree falls on power lines, knocking out power in New Britain Township Tuesday night

High winds brought chaos to the Central Bucks area during evening rush hour

Heavy winds brought a large tree down onto power lines on Cedar Hill Road in New Britain Township during rush hour Tuesday night, knocking out power to homes in area neighborhoods.

The wrath of nature occurred shortly before 6 p.m., and it affected homes along streets such as Holly Drive, Stonyhill Drive, Overlook Drive and Ridge Court. 

Chalfont Fire Co. responded to the scene, as did New Britain Township Police
