Bucks County tourism reached record highs in 2024, with 8.4 million visitors and a $1.3 billion economic impact, Visit Bucks County announced.
The 8.4 million visitors represent a 2.4% increase from 2023, while the $1.3 billion economic impact marks a 3.4% rise, according to figures provided by Tourism Economics.
Day and overnight visitation surpassed pre-pandemic levels from 2018 and 2019, a key indicator for the tourism industry.
Visitors directly spent $710 million in 2024, a 2.3% increase over the previous year. The spending included for food and beverage, lodging, transportation, retail, and recreation.
The tourism sector also supported 29,104 leisure and hospitality jobs in Bucks County, a 1.5 percent increase from 2023.
“Visitor spending continues to be a powerful driver for the local economy,” said Paul Bencivengo, president and CEO of Visit Bucks County. “The VBC Team works hard to market, promote, advocate, and support Bucks County’s hospitality businesses. In 2024, we saw record-breaking visitation and visitor spending, reinforcing the county’s appeal as a travel destination. The impact of visitor spending extends beyond our hotels and attractions—it supports local companies, creates jobs, and enhances the quality of life for residents.”
