The Bucks County Coroner announced via Facebook Saturday morning that, due to the efforts of the public and media, the next of kin of the man killed while crossing Easton Road in Warrington Township Monday night has been located and will be claiming the body of Cruz Anastasio Guachiac Guachiac.
Guachiac, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene by investigators shortly after 8 p.m. March 31. Police said Guachiac crossed Route 611 during heavy rain, at night, where there was no crosswalk.
The coroner found the cause of death to be multiple blunt impact injuries and the manner was accidental.
At 8:25 p.m. Monday, Warrington Police responded to a pedestrian struck in front of Warrington Ambulance, near Park Road.
Police said the driver of a Subaru Tribeca hit Guachiac, who was in the middle of the roadway. The driver of the Subaru remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
The Bucks County District Attorney's Office Crash Investigation Team assisted with the case.
Easton Road was closed in both directions for three hours between Oxford Drive and Park Road following the crash.
Earlier this week, the Bucks coroner identified Guachiac, but had not yet located a next of kin.
