An accident on Route 309 northbound near Tollgate Road in Richland Township has traffic backed up for miles, past the Ridge Pike overpass and the Lawn Avenue exit for Grand View Hospital Monday evening.
A green 4-door Ford Focus or Fusion remains disabled on Route 309 North with severe front-end damage, per reports from the scene.
Route 309 is reduced to one lane in both directions, with southbound traffic moving slow due to gaper delays.
The accident, which involved at least another vehicle not at the scene, occurred around 4:30 p.m.
