According to BCSPCA, K9 Nose Work® is a sport that allows dogs to be in control and rely on their incredible sense of smell to hunt.
It increases their independence, confidence, and problem-solving abilities, per the SPCA.
The course is taught by a Certified Nose Work Instructor, and is meant to build the foundation for dog owners and their dog to get familiar with the game of Nose Work by searching for food using National Association of Canine Scent Work protocol.
The SPCA said reactive puppies can thrive in this class.
Dogs will run one at a time and will be crated away from the search area or in a car when awaiting their turn.
The course is six one-hour classes held in consecutive weeks at a $250 total cost.
