National plant-based soap retailer's Bucks location permanently closed

A national retailer of plant-based, handmade soaps has closed its only Bucks County location after 18 months, as of Monday.

Buff City Soap, at 218 N. West End Blvd. in Richland Township announced its permanent closure on its Facebook.

“Our Soap Makery is now permanently CLOSED. Please continue to shop at our other Buff City Soap Makeries, or shop online at buffcitysoap.com,” stated the post.

According to WFMZ, the “makeries” began in 2013 and started franchising in 2018. Its locations are promoted as spaces for children’s birthday parties, date nights, and more.

Other locations include the Airport Shopping Center in Hanover Township, Lehigh County, and Wilkes-Barre Township in Luzerne County.
