Bucks County logistics company announces closure, laying off 121 workers

The closure for the Quakertown Amazon delivery partner was announced through the state Department of Labor.

 A family-owned Bucks County Amazon delivery business is closing its doors by the end of October and laying off 121 workers.

According to a September 2024 Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, FMC Logistics LLC, located at 120 West Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, will close effective Oct. 29.

It has no connection to chemical manufacturer FMC Corp.

Per the Philadelphia Business Journal, FMC Logistics handles Amazon deliveries and those being laid off include delivery drivers and delivery helpers. It partnered with the online retailer  through the Amazon Delivery Service Partner program.

FMC Logistics has no union, per the report.

According to its website, FMC Logistics was started by Marine veterans and brothers Brett and Brad Thomas, and conducted delivery services for Amazon across the Tri-State Area.
