On Tuesday, Warrington Township had the honor of welcoming Governor Josh Shapiro to our police department, where he expressed his support and appreciation for our dedicated police and emergency services.
During his visit, the Governor toured our newly completed facility. He was accompanied by State Representative Brian Monroe, and we are deeply grateful to both for taking time out of their demanding schedules to visit and spend time in our community.
“Our entire department is grateful for Governor Shapiro’s visit and his unwavering support for our police and emergency services,” said Chief of Police Daniel J. Friel. “His presence on Tuesday affirms the hard work and dedication of our officers, and we deeply appreciate the time he took to connect with our team.”
The 10,000-square-foot police station opened to the public on Nov. 13, 2020.
“The new Warrington Township Police Department headquarters was specifically designed to provide the highest-quality public service to the members of our community," said Friel upon the opening of the new station in 2020.
