Six area fire agencies are on scene of an exterior building fire that has extended to a 6,000-square-foot barn at 6244 Greenhill Road, Solebury Township, Bucks County Sunday afternoon around 1:17, near the border with Buckingham Township.
The barn has multiple collapses, per emergency radio traffic from the scene.
Doylestown Fire Co., Dublin Fire Co., Warwick Fire Co. rescue, Hartsville Fire Co. of Warminster, and Springtown Fire Co., Lingohocken Fire Co., and Chal-Brit EMS have been dispatched to the scene, per Bucks County dispatch radio traffic.
The fire is closest to the Aquetong Road intersection.
There are no reports of injuries or occupants.
Fire police are closing Greenhill Road at Mechanicsville Road.
By 2 p.m., North Penn Goodwill was called to the scene for fire, and at least one tanker was running low on water and more tankers from area agencies have been called to the scene, including Chalfont Fire Co., Doylestown Fire Co., Midway Fire Co., Delaware Valley Fire Co., Community Fire Co. No. 1 (Riegelsville), Ottsville Fire Co. in Tinicum, Northampton Fire Co. (Richboro), and Upper Black Eddy Fire Co.
By 2:20 p.m., fire crews reported the fire has extended to a wood/brush pile near the barn, and that some type of pressurized vessels were venting inside the barn. The brush fire was under control in under seven minutes.
Around 3:10 p.m., North Penn Vol. Fire Co. arrived on scene, per Bucks County Central emergency dispatch, along with Plumsteadville Fire Co., and Point Pleasant Fire Co. in Tinicum, who is stationed at a driveway on Greenhill Road so tanker shuttles are not interrupted.
Midway Fire Police, Lingohocken Fire Police and West End Fire Police (18) are on scene.
As of 4:15 p.m., the fire was under control and fire crews were shutting down equipment.
Traffic was detoured around the scene on Route 263 by River Road.
