A Hilltown Township man has been charged with felony counts of retail theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly shoplifting more than $1,200 in items from Home Depot in Warrington.
Christopher T. Bello, 56, of the 10th block of Dublin Road, is free on $30,000 unsecured bail, per court documents.
Police said a loss prevention officer from Home Depot contacted them on Sept. 26 at 5:38 p.m. regarding a theft that occurred at the 650 Easton Road location in Warrington Township.
According to the affidavit, at 1:18 p.m., Bello entered the store and removed $1,247 worth of items and placed them into a black tote with a yellow lid, and then left the store at 1:36 p.m. without paying.
Police said Bello left the scene in a silver 2005 Toyota 4-Runner station wagon.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 18 at 10:15 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Stacy Wertman.
However, before he goes to that preliminary hearing, Bello has one scheduled for Oct. 21 at 11:15 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Gary Gambardella, stemming from a Bedminster Township arrest for felony retail theft and receiving stolen property offenses from August, per court records.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
