A tractor trailer ran off the southbound overpass of the Quakertown interchange.

Emergency personnel responded to a report in Milford Township Tuesday night of a vehicle accident with a rescue involving a Crete tractor trailer that ran off the southbound acceleration ramp overpass of the Quakertown interchange of the Northeast Extension and came to stop down an embankment.

According to Montgomery County emergency operations, the driver has safely exited the truck. The call came in at 6:48 p.m.

West End Fire Co. #2 of Quakertown, Milford Township Fire Co., Telford Fire Co., St. Lukes’s Emergency & Transport, and Vera Cruz Fire Dept. are on scene.

Traffic is backed up on northbound I-476 near Quakertown. One lane is closed at the Quakertown interchange.
