High winds may be partly to blame for a brush fire incident in Bucks County today.

An open field sustained burned vegetation roughly the size of football field to its land which is located near a home and its tree line. The incident took place in the 3700 block of Fountain Circle in Fountainville.

The high winds in the area caused the fire to spread rapidly through the dry grass. First responders were seen at the fire using chainsaws and rakes to remove debris and cut timber in the vicinity.

Multiple area fire companies were on location responding, including Doylestown, Chalfont, Plumsteadville, and Dublin units. They sprayed water in the area to stop the spread of the grass fire.

Many brush fires have sparked in the area, due to the weather conditions. Residents are asked to keep an eye out and avoid any outdoor burning until the weather improves.
