Young driver rescued from flipped SUV after crashing into tree in Hilltown Friday evening

The accident occurred around 6 p.m. near Schoolhouse Road.

A young female driver was extricated from her black Ford SUV Friday evening after the vehicle crashed into a tree and flipped over on Diamond Street at Schoolhouse Road in Hilltown Township.

The accident occurred around 6 p.m. at the intersection, which left the driver temporarily unconscious, according to Montgomery County emergency radio traffic.

Once rescued, the driver came to and was able to walk to a gurney before being transported from the scene to an area hospital.

Hilltown Township Police were assisted at the scene by Silverdale, Perkasie, and Sellersville fire departments.

Diamond Street is closed at Schoolhouse Road.
