Bucks County has been named a premiere fall foliage destination for travelers seeking autumnal bliss.
Per Travel and Leisure, Priceline.com’s search volume data showed Bucks County as a prime location for a backdrop to hues of falling leaves.
Bucks County is about 45 minutes or less from Philadelphia and 90 minutes from New York.
The online magazine highlighted the county’s 12 historic covered bridges, Lancaster Balloon Rides above the Delaware River and the 1920s vintage New Hope Railroad train as unique ways to see fall foliage.

Embark on a historic Covered Bridge Driving Tour
Take the self-guided Bucks County Covered Bridge Driving Tour. Peppered throughout Bucks County’s country back roads are the 12 covered bridges still standing.
Experience Bucks County’s foliage via hot air balloon rides
The balloon ride drifts you from Peddler’s Village in Lahaska and brings you bird’s eye view sights of the county and Delaware River.
View foliage along River Road
The county’s scenic River Road/Route 32 offers eclectic restaurants and shops along its route, as the sounds of the Delaware River in the background soundtrack the autumn air and afternoon walk or drive.
Board the New Hope Railroad for an excursion train
The two-and-a-half-hour journey winds you through the picturesque countryside of New Hope and the surrounding area on weekends in October and November.
Stroll the Peddler’s Village cobblestone walkways
The 42-acre, 18th-century-style shopping village is in the midst of its competition Scarecrows in the Village until Oct. 29. Its OctoberFeast arrives from Oct. 14-15 and the Apple Festival bobs into town from Nov. 4-5 with hot cider and apple pies galore.
See the leaves at Washington Crossing Historic Park
The historic park offers leisure during any stroll with its natural surroundings. A BeerFest is coming to the park this Fall.
Climb to the top of Bowman’s Hill Tower
If hot air balloons are not your thing, get a bird’s-eye view of the park by climbing to the top of Bowman’s Hill Tower, where you can see 14 miles of pristine countryside.
