A 61-year-old woman from North Wildwood, New Jersey suffered a minor injury as a passenger in a three-vehicle crash on southbound I-476 in Milford Township earlier this month, which resulted in citations for two of the drivers.
Pennsylvania State Police responded to a crash on the Northeast Extension, north of Kumry Road in Bucks County on Nov. 13 at 1:28 p.m. involving a 2022 Dodge Charger, a 2019 Kia Optima, and a 2014 Infiniti QX50, police said.
Police said all three vehicles were in the right lane of the interstate near mile marker 43, when the Dodge Charger, driven by a 53-year-old woman from Breinigsville, PA, ran out of gas, blocking the left lane.
The driver of the Charger did not put on hazard lights, and the Kia, driven by a 59-year-old man from Wildwood, NJ, hit the rear of the Charger, police said.
The impact caused a chain reaction, with the Infiniti, driven by a 19-year-old Bensalem man, hitting the back of the Kia, police said.
The passenger of the Kia was transported by Bucks County Rescue Squad to Grand View Hospital for treatment, police said.
The Charger had functional rear end damage, the Kia had disabling severe front-end and rear-end damage, and the Infiniti sustained minor front end damage, police said.
Police said the drivers of the Dodge and the Infiniti were cited for failure to use hazard lights and failure to have financial responsibility.
