Plumstead emergency responders, Explorer Post help 'Pack the Patrol Car'

The food drive raised more than $800 for two area agencies.

Plumstead Township Police, Plumstead Vol. Fire Co. and Plumstead Explorer Post 5708 collaborated to make the "Pack the Patrol Car" food drive a success this holiday season.

Police announced this week they were deeply grateful for the volunteer support shown during the drive, with a "remarkable" amount of food donated and more than $800 cash raised during the effort.

Donations and money were distributed to The Bucks County Housing Group and St. John's Baptist Food Pantry.

Fred Beans Doylestown provided two box trucks for the drive and Dunkin’ Donuts of Plumsteadville fueled the group with boxes of Joe.
