New Britain Township Police is advising residents to lock their cars at night and take all valuables inside, due to a recent rash of thefts in the overnight hours Friday.

Police said a string of thefts from cars occurred between Thursday night and Friday morning in the Highlands section of the township.

Multiple vehicles were left unlocked, police said, or had valuable items in plain sight. These vehicles were entered and items were taken, police said.

If you live in or around the Highlands, police are asking to check any home security cameras or dash cameras that may have captured the suspect or suspects, authorities said.

Brittany Farms-The Highlands are communities and streets surrounding Simon Butler Elementary School, Nottingham Woods Golf Course, and CHOP Primary Care HighPoint, and bordered by Upper State Road, Limekiln Pike/Route 152, U.S. 202, and County Line Road.

All tips can be submitted via Crimewatch, emailed to [email protected] or calling 215-822-1910.

Police strongly recommend that residents lock vehicles when parked outside and take all items of value inside the home, or refrain from leaving anything in plain sight.
