Phoenixville officer Arthur Scena IV, 39, was killed on Oct. 27 while riding a motorcycle home from a funeral of a friend.
On Wednesday morning, hundreds of law enforcement colleagues, family and friends of Arthur E. “Artie” Scena IV, of Warminster, mourned the loss of the Phoenixville Police Officer at his life celebration at Church or Our Lady of Guadalupe on Cold Spring Creamery Road at Durham Road in Buckingham Township.
Buckingham Township Police advised the public Wednesday morning that a large funeral procession would be in the area of Cold Spring Creamery Road and Route 413 at noon, with the procession traveling south onto Route 413, impacting all traffic.
Scena, 39, was killed on Oct. 27 while riding a motorcycle home from a funeral of a friend. His 2021 Harley-Davidson was hit by a 2013 Kia during a crash in Warminster Township on West Street Road at St. David’s Street.
Scena was born in Abington and raised in Elkins Park. He leaves behind his wife, Amanda Marie, a young daughter, Reese, and a young stepdaughter, Riley Yeager. He was the son of Maureen Klein and the late Arthur III, according to his obituary.
Scena is also survived by his grandparents, Arthur and Sherry Scena, and Marie Quinn; his sister, Kelci Scena (Michael); and his father- and mother-in-law William Lintner and Patricia Ferrau.
He was a graduate of Cheltenham High School and Montgomery County Community College. He attended the Montgomery County Police Academy in 2010.
Scena was employed as a correctional officer for the Montgomery County jail and he worked as a police officer for the Philadelphia Housing Authority and the Chester City Police Department, prior to joining Phoenixville in 2019.
