Driver rescued from Toyota Tacoma after one-vehicle crash that damaged a utility pole

Warwick Township emergency personnel responded to an accident with injuries on Friday night near an industrial park on Mearns Road, which required extrication of a driver.

According to reports from the scene, the accident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. along the 1800-1900 block of Mearns Road, involving a light blue Toyota Tacoma.

    By James Short The truck was found in shrubs and trees off the roadway, with severe front, driver and passenger side damage.

A utility pole sustained damage, with debris leading away from the pole toward the final resting spot of the Toyota.

At least one person was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Warwick Police, Warwick Fire Co., Warwick Fire Police and Central Bucks EMS responded to the scene.

Traffic was reduced to one lane as crews worked to clear the scene.

The Toyota was towed from the scene.
