A New York man heads to county court in February following an arraignment this month on a felony charge of statutory sexual assault by a defendant four to eight years older for allegedly impregnating a teen in Warminster Township.
Elmer Bladimir Perez-Martinez, 22, of Copiague NY, , sits in Bucks County jail on 10% of $300,000 cash bail on the felony charge. A misdemeanor charge of indecent assault on a person less than 16 years old was withdrawn at a November preliminary hearing.
On Aug. 13, detectives began the investigation into the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old, according to an affidavit. The victim told police she was six weeks pregnant, and Perez-Martinez was the father, police said. The two engaged in consensual sex, police allege, six times from February to May 2024.
On Aug. 20, police interviewed the accused and Perez-Martinez admitted that he knew the victim was underage and believed the child was his, authorities allege.
All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
