A Warminster Township woman has been charged by police for her alleged role in an afternoon Christmas Eve shooting wherein she shot a man in the leg as he ran away from her down Evans Street.

Savanna Summer Munoz, 19, has been charged by Warminster investigators with aggravated assault causing injury with extreme indifference and aggravated assault causing bodily injury with a deadly weapon, as well as three misdemeanor counts of simple assault and a misdemeanor charge each of recklessly endangering another person and possessing an instrument of crime, according to court records.

Police said officers responded to 35 Evans St. in the Warminster Heights section of the township at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday for a shooting. Doylestown Police informed Warminster authorities that a victim was at Doylestown Hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg, and that they were shot at 35 Evans St. by Munoz, police said.

Upon arrival at the residence, police found Munoz, who told them she argued with the victim, per the complaint. During the argument, Munoz allegedly retrieved a revolver from her safe on the second floor of the home and concealed it in the right front pocket of her jacket that she was wearing, before confronting the victim again on the first floor.

During the second altercation, Munoz allegedly pulled out the gun, at which point the victim fled the house, south on Evans Street.

Police allege Munoz went outside and pointed the gun at the victim’s back while they ran down the street, and fired one round, striking the victim in the leg. Munoz then put the gun back in the safe, police said.

Police executed a search warrant on Munoz’s home after her arrest and recovered a revolver with four live rounds and one spent casing, police said.

Munoz was jailed at Bucks County jail on 10% of $200,000 cash bail and has a preliminary hearing set for Jan. 6 at 2 p.m. before Magisterial District Judge Frank W. Peranteau Sr. in Bristol, Bucks County.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
