Thou shalt not leave thine firearms behind.

Pennsylvania State Police at Dublin reported Tuesday that charges of reckless endangerment are pending against a Milford Township man who is accused of bringing his gun to church and leaving it behind.

Police said the gun owner, whose name was not revealed, attended a church service at 9 a.m. on East Swamp Road in the township on Sunday.

After the service, the man went home around 10 a.m. and accidentally left his gun underneath his seat inside the nave, police said.

A churchgoer found the gun while cleaning the nave and reported it to Pennsylvania State Police.

Authorities said the owner was contacted and charges are pending after receiving approval from the Bucks County District Attorney.
