Warrington Township Police Department held its seventh annual “Shop with a Cop” event on Dec, 11 at the Walmart Supercenter in Warrington.
Twenty-five officers were on hand to shop with 38 elementary school students who live in Warrington Township and attend Barclay, Mill Creek and Titus elementary schools. The officers helped the children select and purchase holiday gifts for their family members and something special for themselves.
Warrington Police Department worked with the elementary schools to identify families in need and the department received a grant from Walmart and several donors to help pay for the gifts. Peregrine Associates also provided invitations and bus passes for all students.
Other “Shop with a Cop” volunteers included the Warrington Rotary Club members and the Garrison Carida of the 501st Legion, the costuming organization dedicated to celebrating STAR WARS™ through the creation and use of quality costumes that portray characters from the STAR WARS™ universe.
A special thanks for Officer Kozuch for organizing such an amazing event.
