The Perkasie Borough Police Department is proud to announce that it has received an official Accreditation Certificate from the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association. This achievement recognizes the department's commitment to excellence and its adherence to the highest standards of law enforcement. The certificate was awarded at the December 9, 2024, Perkasie Borough Council meeting.

Presenting the Certificate was Jim Adams the Accreditation Coordinator for the Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Association.

As of July 23, 2024, the Perkasie Borough Police Department is one of only 172 accredited police departments out of over 1,200 agencies in Pennsylvania.

In addition to this achievement, the department was proud to present several Commendations to its officers for their outstanding service and dedication.

Officer Thomas Brun, Officer Joseph Murray, and Officer Lewis Palmer were recognized for their life-saving efforts during a medical emergency on February 6, 2024, in Perkasie Borough.

Officer David Mantz, Officer Sean Jefferies, and Perkasie resident Wendy Tulone also received commendations for their life-saving efforts during a medical emergency on July 3, 2024, in Perkasie Borough.

Detective Travis Schoonover received a Commendation for his exceptional work during the Matthew Branning murder investigation in 2021. A jury conviction was received in September of 2024 sentencing the offender to life in prison.

The Perkasie Borough Police Department is committed to serving its community with excellence and dedication. These achievements are a testament to the hard work and bravery of our officers, and we are proud to recognize their contributions.
